QNUK Level 2 Award in Fire Safety for Fire Marshals
This qualification is intended for those that are undertaking the role of a fire marshal in a workplace. The qualification builds on the QNUK Level 1 Award in Fire Awareness at Work (RQF) and includes safe evacuation and personal emergency evacuation plans (PEEPS).
Description
This qualification will provide learners with the skills, knowledge and understanding to support a role of Fire Marshal in the workplace, enhancing a learner’s employability.
Outcomes / Objectives of the Course:
- Understand the hazards and risks associated with fire in the workplace.
- Know how to use a range of fire controls.
- Understand the importance of a prompt and safe evacuation of the workplace.
- Know how to support individuals during an evacuation.
- Understand the role of the Fire Marshal in the workplace.
Candidates will receive a QNUK Level 2 Award in Fire Safety for Fire Marshals.
Prerequisites
Due to the language of the assessment, it is recommended that learners have sufficient command of the English language in order to understand the assessment and to undertake the recommended assessment methods.
Materials Required
Candidates are required to bring paper and a pen to make notes during their training.
All candidates must bring with them one of the following forms of ID:
- A valid passport – no more than 6 months out of date
- A valid UK photo driving license - no more than 6 months out of date
- A photographic employee ID card
- A photographic ID card from an awarding body (e.g. IPAF, RTITB, NPORS)
