New Roads and Street Works Act (NRSWA) - Re-Assessment
This course is for those who working in England who need to renew their existing Street Works card.

To refresh your knowledge and understanding in your chosen units. Available units are:
- Unit LA - Location and Avoidance of Underground Apparatus.
- Unit O1 - Signing, Lighting and Guarding.
- Unit O2 - Excavation in the Highway.
- Unit O3 - Reinstatement and Compaction of Backfill Materials.
- Unit O4 - Reinstatement of Sub-Base and Roadbase in Non-Bituminous Materials.
- Unit O5 - Reinstatement in Cold-Lay Bituminous Materials.
- Unit O6 - Reinstatement of Hot-Lay Bituminous Materials.
- Unit O7 - Reinstatement of Concrete Slabs.
- Unit O8 - Reinstatement of Modular Surfaces and Concrete Footways.
- Unit S1 - Monitoring Signing, Lighting and Guarding.
- Unit S2 - Monitoring Excavation in the Highway.
- Unit S3 - Monitoring Reinstatement and Compaction of Backfill Materials.
- Unit S4 - Monitoring Reinstatement of Sub-Base and Roadbase in Non-Bituminous Materials.
- Unit S5 - Monitoring Reinstatement of Bituminous Materials.
- Unit S6 - Monitoring Reinstatement of Concrete Slabs.
- Unit S7 - Monitoring Reinstatement of Modular Surfaces and Concrete Footways.
Upon successful completion of the course, candidates will receive multiple CABWI Certificates and a Street Works Qualification Register (SWQR) Card.
Prerequisites
You must hold a Street Works card which is no more than 5 years out of date.
Exam Information
- Theoretical training and assessment.
- Please note this course involves an examination that will be conducted under exam conditions including video monitoring (recordings are saved securely).
Dress Code
None Required.
Materials Required
Prior to the course commencing, please send us a copy of your Street Works card.
Delegates MUST bring their current SWQR Card, failure to do so may result in the delegate not being allowed to complete the course.
Candidates are required to bring paper and a pen to make notes during their training.
All candidates must bring with them one of the following forms of ID:
- A valid passport – no more than 6 months out of date
- A valid UK photo driving license - no more than 6 months out of date
- A photographic employee ID card
- A photographic ID card from an awarding body (e.g. IPAF, RTITB, NPORS)

If this course is eligible for a short course grant, please ensure we have your levy number before the course start date, and your candidates provide their national insurance numbers on the day of the course. Without this information, we cannot claim the levy on your behalf and take no responsibility for the grant not being claimed.
