Description

To provide knowledge and understanding in the following areas:

  • Introducing Managing Safely®
  • Assessing risks
  • Controlling risks
  • Understanding responsibilities
  • Understanding hazards
  • Investigating incidents
  • Measuring performance
  • To give managers and supervisors an understanding of everyone’s safety and health responsibilities in the workplace.
  • To enable managers and supervisors to recognise how they can influence, control and monitor risk to improve safety and health issues in the workplace.

None.

Exam Information

 2 Assessments (Theory Exam & Risk Assessment Practical)

Dress Code

Candidates are required to bring with them a hi-viz vest, hard hat and safety boots.

Materials Required

Candidates are required to bring paper and a pen to make notes during their training.

All candidates must bring with them one of the following forms of ID:

  • A valid passport – no more than 6 months out of date
  • A valid UK photo driving license - no more than 6 months out of date
  • A photographic employee ID card 
  • A photographic ID card from an awarding body (e.g. IPAF, RTITB, NPORS)

If you do not have any of the above, please contact us for further information.

If this course is eligible for a short course grant, please ensure we have your levy number before the course start date, and your candidates provide their national insurance numbers on the day of the course. Without this information, we cannot claim the levy on your behalf and take no responsibility for the grant not being claimed.

Length of Qualification

The course does not have an expiry, but IOSH do recommend attending a refresher course every 3 years.
