Description
Learning outcomes:

- Work safely and monitor the work team to ensure procedures are followed.
- Deal with emergency situations.
- Understand the principles of working in medium risk confined spaces.
- Understand standard protocols for work in medium risk confined spaces.
- Understand entry controller duties and responsibilities.
- Understand equipment checks and inspection required.
Prerequisites
City & Guilds cannot accept any registrations for learners under 16 as these qualifications are not approved for under 16s.

Exam Information
Theory and practical training, practical observation and short answer question paper.
Dress Code
This course involves practical activities in a simulated Confined Space. It is advised that candidates wear old/work clothes or bring overalls with them.
Candidates must bring the following PPE:
- Safety boots
- Hard hat
- Hi viz
- Safety glasses
- Gloves
Where applicable eye protection should include High Impact AND general purpose, ear protection should be EXTERNAL ear defenders NOT sponge ear plugs and dust mask should be FFP3 rated. Failure to have the correct PPE may result in exclusion from practical elements of the course/assessment and FAILURE of the course.
Delegates that are not clean shaven or wear a turban MUST be pre-advised before attending the course, so that appropriate equipment can be made available.
Materials Required
Candidates must bring with them photographic ID such as an in date driving license or passport.
